Over the past couple of days, I’ve been reporting on the latest round of file-based game speculation to do with the seashore (that strip between the town and the sea). There’s a bit more today, so if you’re reading this post on the homepage, you’ll have to click the link below the picture to find out more. And if you’ve come straight to the post page, you have until the bottom of the picture to avert your eyes and go and take a look at something else.

The Squiport quest posted yesterday seems to come alongside the quests that introduce the Sea Captain, his Houseboat and the Frying Dutchman. Here’s a taste of what we might be seeing:

The Frying Dutchman
The Frying Dutchman Pt. 1 Make Sea Captain Work at The Frying Dutchman / Make Springfield Residents Dine at The Frying Dutchman (this looks to be similar to the St. Paddy’s day quest)
The Frying Dutchman Pt. 2 Make Sea Captain Work at the Frying Dutchman / Make Homer Pig Out at The Frying Dutchman / Make Comic Book Guy Pig Out at The Frying Dutchman (he only gives it 2.5 out of 5 on his blog, though, and he pays with with a Groupon).

The Old Man and the Sea
The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 1 Place Sea Captain’s Houseboat – what’s interesting here is Homer’s dialog: “Uh-oh, did I blow another brain vessel? I think I’m hallucinating a house out there… in the ocean.”
The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 2 Make Sea Captain Tell a Tall Tale
The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 3 Make Sea Captain Read Nautical Literature (Treasure Island or Moby Dick are great places to pick up nautical jargon)
The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 4 Make Sea Captain Practice Standup Routine (because, apparently, when ye’re crossing a great ocean and ye’ve got miles of time ahead of ye, it’s the perfect opportunity to hone new skills!)
The Old Man and the Sea Pt. 5 Make Sea Captain Pray to Poseidon

The Old Man and the Sea quest references Homer’s visit to the Frying Dutchman and its all-you-can-eat buffet, so it’s likely its intended to follow the Frying Dutchman quest, which in turn appears to be an introduction for the Squiport/boardwalk build covered in the previous post.

Is it June yet?
