This just came in from Frank, a regular reader of this blog:

I thought maybe your readers would find this interesting I just got the email today.

Greetings Frank,

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.

First of all, I sincerely apologize for the delay in response.

I understand that you are experiencing issues loading The Simpsons: Tapped Out application and realize that you’re very upset about this. Our engineers are aware of the issue where-in our customers may get stuck on the loading screen with the Valentine harp music playing endlessly. Please be informed that we are currently investigating these issues and are doing our best to resolve them as soon as possible.

In the meantime, try to update your client as this is most likely going to resolve the issue. To update The Simpsons: Tapped Out, Tap the App Store icon on your device and then tap the “Updates” tab on the bottom bar. Find The Simpsons Tapped Out in that list and click on the “Update” button.

If the issue persists, please wait for the next couple of days as the upcoming fix should permanently resolve this issue, once released. I assure you that once we are ready with a fix, we will not have issues like these bothering our game play experience.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation. Please be assured that your concern is our priority.

Electronic Arts – World Wide Customer Experience

So as you can tell, my guess is that by Monday, hopefully, there will be a fix along with the new content they plan to add. Thanks Frank

Thanks for sharing this, Frank. We know that updating the app doesn’t work, though. Let’s hope there actually is a permanent fix on Monday, once the St. Patrick’s Day event is over, rather than the temporary patches we’ve seen for the last 6 weeks or so.
