I’ve had a few questions from people who started playing the game with the Valentine’s Day update about what will happen to the limited-time buildings at the end of the event. To be honest, I’m really not sure – this is the third major event, and something different has happened each time. Just to be clear – if you already have the buildings, they’re yours forever. But if you don’t already have them, you may not be able to buy them ever again after February 28.

The Halloween Buildings, like the Super Collider and the House of Evil, were all no longer available once the Halloween event was over. Following the Christmas event, though, Barney’s Bowlarama, the Try ‘n’ Save, and, briefly, the Mapple Store became premium items that you could purchase for donuts. So, it’s difficult to predict what will happen to the Valentine’s buildings on February 28, when the Valentine’s event ends. It may be that they’ll go the way of the House of Evil and you’ll never be able to buy them again – or it may be that they’ll become premium items. It’s highly unlikely, though, that you’ll be able to buy them for game dollars.

So my advice is to play as much as you can over the next few days to try to build everything you can before February 28. While there is the option to use donuts to speed things up, consider it carefully and only use it if you are very close to getting your last Valentine’s building just before the event is due to end.

All you really need to do, though, is get your XP bar to level 15 – and you may be able to this through lots of visits to friends, decorating your town, and keeping your characters busy. Because as long as your XP bar tells you that you’re at level 15, you’ll be able to build everything, regardless of where you are in the Valentine’s Day quest.
