One of the problems with the game is how easy it is to do things you don’t really want to do – like using donuts to speed up the rent on Brown Houses (there really should be a “do you really want to” Button for this!). Luckily, when it comes to selling things, you do get a chance to change your mind, as this screenshot shows:

I cancelled that one, of course – it would cost so much more to get it back.

I really don’t know how it’s possible to sell the Statue, though, because when I try to sell mine, this happens:

However, if your Jebediah Springfield Statue has disappeared for some reason (and I’ve heard of this happening), you can still get it back the same way you got it in the first place – by tapping Homer rapidly 10 times while he is doing a task. No money – just tapping (and if you don’t already have the Statue, you can see how to get it here). I’m not sure about getting another 10 donuts, though.

However, not everything you lose is so easy to get back. That’s why it’s always important to be careful about selling things – and to never to sell any limited-time or special items without careful consideration because there’s no guarantee that you’ll ever be able to buy them again. And never sell limited time buildings!
