This is not really a gaming question, but it’s interesting all the same – particularly for donut buyers!

On the same day that the Valentines update was released, EA also released its financial results for the 3 months ending December 31, 2012 – and they contain some interesting numbers:

1. EA’s mobile games and services generated around $100 million in revenue over those 3 months, an 18% increase over the same period last year.

2. The Simpsons Tapped Out, generated more than $23 million in revenues for EA during the final 3 months of 2012.

3. By the end of December 2012, the Origin platform had registered over 39 million users, including 17 million mobile users.
